Do You Have an INTENTION for Your Love Life ?(VIDEO)
Do You Have an Intention for Your Love Life?
Today’s article is no April Fool’s joke. What I have to share with you is super important if you want to find love. My inspiration comes from the TedX Talk given by the fabulous Mary Morrisey, author, speaker and thought leader.
Watch this 18 minutes of inspiration. Her message about the effects of being intentional with our life may provide a new perspective for you. As she says, we will have results in our lives one year from today whether or not we set any specific intentions.
However, we can intend to find love or have a more satisfying love relationship or marriage, and still fail to achieve those results, if we don’t do more than set an intention.
What do you intend for yourself and your love life?
Once I started writing my book, I started to meet other people who enthusiastically shared their desire to become authors. Some of them accomplished this goal and others didn’t. What happened?
Writing a book takes work and most of all it requires a real intention to do so. I knew I could talk about writing a book, spend months and even years endlessly editing my work or I could just do it by setting my intentions and following through with a plan. It didn’t just happen.
Finding your ideal love connection probably won’t just happen either. Deeply satisfying, loving healthy relationships don’t just happen like magic. That little word intention is the real secret.
Here are 3 of her best tips:
Create intentions that are specific: My advice for you and your love relationship is to think about what you really want in a partner and in a marriage. It’s not enough to simply say, I intend to have a great marriage or attract a fabulous partner.
I have a specific process I take my coaching clients through that makes setting relationship intentions easy and thorough without being overwhelming. Being specific about an intention gives it power.
Decline to remain discouraged: We all get discouraged sometimes because we are human; setbacks are a normal part of life for everyone. We all know Thomas Edison tried a thousand times before he created a successful light bulb. Jack Canfield was turned down by over eighty publishers for his book, Chicken Soup for the Soul.
Don’t let past relationship failures discourage you from trying again. Love is for you – it is the most powerful force in the Universe.
Be more interested in growth than in comfort: This is particularly interesting because this is where I see most singles struggle. Yes, it’s easier to wish for love than to set an intention to take action in the direction of that dream.
Rejection hurts, but having an open heart to love is what makes it possible. Trying something new can be scary, yet living your life without a loving supportive relationship is an even scarier prospect isn’t it?
I hope you find time to watch Mary’s TedX Talk because she has a riveting real life example of how setting her intentions and applying these three factors changed her life experience and actually saved her life.
Happy watching and until next time remember you are worthy of love.
