First Date MISTAKE Part 6 - Pizza or a Mate? (Copy)
Ordering a Pizza or a MATE? (First Date MISTAKE Part 6)
Yes, I really enjoy getting exactly what I ordered or asked for - don’t you? This expectation is reasonable when buying products and services. Finding a life partner is not in the same category at all because we are complicated, multi-layered humans with great qualities right along with all of our quirks and imperfections. Expecting the perfect human match that meets your every preference is a recipe for disappointment.
Sometimes people say, “Be careful what you ask for - you just might get it.” However, I think it is best to be “mindul” not careful. The distinction seem minor, but it is an important one. I don’t want you to be fearful of asking for what you need, because it’s more powerful and effective to be present in the moment of choice.
Almost every day I work with people, men and women who have turned to a Matchmaker, like myself for assistance in finding that love that has elluded them thus far. I love doing this work and helping people AND I also find myself wanting to coach them. It is challenging to listen and watch many singles obsess over so many “nice to have” things in a mate and completely ignore the very foundational building blocks for a loving sustainable relationship.
Ordering a pizza is easy and you can fully expect to get precisely what you want. Mistakes are much more handily resolved. Attracting the wrong mate based on a desire for so many superficial qualities is another much more painful story. Watch this short video below to find out more. If you’ve missed any of the videos in this series, I’ve provided the links below this video.

I really do wish I had a factory in my Matchmaker Toolbox so I could help you get EVERYTHING you truly desire in a mate. But, alas we all must accept that placing a food order is much simplier. Be mindful of what you ask for! Don’t give up the truly important qualities for things that really don’t matter in the end.
Happy watching!
